The Amherst County Public Library (ACPL) understands that Internet users are
concerned about their privacy. ACPL has a strict Confidentiality
Policy of not sharing any of the information it collects
about those using library services and is committed that
those using its Internet site will be treated likewise. ACPL
will not share any information it collects with anyone outside
of the library except in the form of raw statistical data
which does not reveal the identity of any specific visitor.

When you access our Internet site our Internet Service Provider automatically

ACPL utilizes best practice security measures to protect the loss, misuse and
alteration of the information under our control. The library utilizes a complex

and data that can both enter and exit our servers. This ensures that only authorized
access occurs and that ACPL information remains confidential. ACPL cannot guarantee
that our system will not be compromised by hostile attacks from inside or outside
of our network.
