2-3.2 Loan Periods
Books, sound recordings, and back issues of magazines may
be checked out for two weeks. Videos may be checked out for
one week by adult patrons only.
Faculty loans are available to teachers who teach in Amherst
County schools (pre-K-12 or approved home schools).
· Teachers must reapply for the faculty loan privilege
each year.
· Teachers must provide proof of current teaching
assignment at renewal.
· Faculty loans are made for an extended loan period
of five (5) weeks.
· There is no limit on the number of library materials
that may be checked out; however, videos may not be charged
out on the faculty loan card.
· Faculty loans may not be renewed.
· Faculty loans must be returned in person, not in
the book drop.
· Fines for overdue faculty loans are the same as
regular loans.
· Teachers are responsible for lost and overdue items.
· The Faculty loan privilege is in effect only during
the school year.
· Faculty loan privileges may be revoked if materials
are regularly found to be overdue.
