2-3.3 Reserves

Patrons may request library materials currently checked out be reserved or put on hold for them. To reserve an item, the patron must have a valid library card, and must give full name, address, and phone number. The patron will be notified by phone or email when the item is available for pickup.

Reserves are placed at either library’s Circulation Desk or through the library’s web catalog. An item may be reserved and picked up at either location, but patrons may only place one reserve per title. Patrons are requested to remember the needs of other patrons and refrain from reserving most or all materials on a particular topic.

Patrons who do not pick up materials being held for them within seven days or the materials will pass to the next patron on the list. Patrons who miss their turn will be allowed to reserve the item again but will be moved to the end of the list.

Those who do not notify the library that they no longer need reserved materials may lose the privilege of placing reserves.
