Pearl’s Picks provides monthly reading suggestions from Nancy Pearl, the most widely known librarian of our time. These richly diverse book suggestions provide great reading experiences for readers of all ages and interests.

Learning Express Library

Learning Express provides practice exams for subjects ranging from postal exams to the realty exam. Some of the more popular exams are for the GED or the GRE. You must set up your account from inside the library, but after that you can use it from anywhere.

NovelList

Read everything by your favorite author? What comes next in a series? What should your 4th grader read? NoveList, your guide to fiction, has a one-stop solution with read-alike lists that include a discussion of why people enjoy an author who writes just like your favorite, all the books in series, guides to fiction by age and genre, as well as book discussion guides and talks. You can find magazine and newspaper articles, encyclopedias and other reference works, TV and radio transcripts, company information and investment reports, health and wellness information, and homework help, plus photos, charts, maps, diagrams, and illustrations.
A Virginia public library card is the only requirement to use these resources.
